It has been a long time coming, but businesses and users alike can now make use of the new Business Directory!

How can I add my business?
Simply register for an account on this website (if you haven't already), then visit the link above and click Submit from the right-side menu and fill out your business details.

What kind of business details?
Once you have entered your business name and selected a suitable category for it there are a number of details you can provide. These include: Website Address, Business News, Opening Hours, Locations, Photos or even attach Documents such as Promotional Materials.

How much does it cost?
Submit your business for FREE!

This all sounds great, but I don't own a business..
Not to worry, you can still make use of the directory. Search for businesses by Category, Tags or simply view the Latest or Featured businesses. Follow your favourite businesses and receive their latest offers/news. Rate and Review a business to help future customers.

Smilies are an easy way to show an emotion whether it be a simple smile , love or just for fun

How do you use them?

There are two ways to add smilies:

1. The simplest way is to click on the Emoticons button, then simply click your desired smiley and it will automatically insert the relevant code in your content. Below is an image highlighting the Emoticons button.

2. For areas that do not have this button, such as the footerbar chat and shoutbox or for those tech-savy users, you can type the smiley code. Each smiley has its own code such as :Wbutterfly: (without the 'W') which will display .

Vietnamese Language Added!

Not long ago we added Turkish as an alternative language to view the site in, now we can announce we have added Vietnamese as well!

You can switch to Vietnamese by going to the bottom of the page and clicking on "English". Then select Vietnamese and the site will refresh in the chosen language.

If you notice any spelling/grammar mistake in any language please let us know so we can update it. Also note that not everything on the site will be translated, if you can assist us with these missing words, please let us know.

We will be working on adding other languages such as Spanish/French/Italian/German. If you have a language request then please let us know.

We have just added another link under the main menu "Local" called News.

As the link tries to point out, this will display the latest news in and around Matlock Town.

The News is currently linked to the blog section, although we do plan on creating a separate news section in the future to help with the organisation of the site/news.

We are also looking for news editors to find and add local news from Matlock Town and the surrounding area, if you are interested in helping us out, contact myself or any of the staff.
